A Federação Anarquista do Rio de Janeiro (FARJ) vem a público se solidarizar com a família, amigos/as e companheiros/as de partido e Marielle Franco, militante e vereadora do Partido Socialismo e Liberdade (PSOL). Também nos solidarizamos com a família de Anderson Gomes, motorista de Marielle e também assassinado no dia 14.
Marielle tinha um histórico de militância a favor dos direitos humanos e pela garantia dos direitos sociais das favelas e seu assassinato tem todas as características de uma execução. Some-se a isto, o fato de Marielle ser integrante da comissão da ALERJ que acompanhava a intervenção militar e federal no Rio de Janeiro, o que torna o fato, ainda mais suspeito.
Sabemos que o período sombrio em que vivemos: a atual intervenção militar, que agrava o processo de genocídio da população negra nas favelas cariocas; o avanço neoliberal que agrava a desigualdade social em todo país; a retirada dos direitos sociais dos trabalhadores do campo e da cidade. Todas essas medidas vem sendo acompanhada com a criminalização das lutadoras e lutadores sociais que se erguem em defesa do povo.
São constantes as ameaças que vem sendo feitas à militância que vem denunciando os crimes hediondos que vem sendo cometidos pelo Estado brasileiro. Mas não irão nos amedrontar.
Exigimos a imediata investigação de sua morte. Exigimos justiça para Marielle Franco!

Solidarity notice to the family, friends and fellow men and women of Marielle Franco
The Anarchist Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FARJ) comes out in public in solidarity with the family, the friends and fellow men and women of the party, and with Marielle Franco, activist and councilwoman of the Socialism and Freedom Party (Partido Socialismo e Liberdade – PSOL). We are also in solidarity with the family of Anderson Gomes, Marielle’s driver, also murdered on the 14th.
Marielle had an activism history in favour of the human rights, and for warranting social rights in the favelas, and her assassination has all the characteristics of an execution. Additionally, Marielle was in fact a participant in the municipality council assembly’s commission that was following the military and federal intervention in Rio de Janeiro, which makes the fact even more suspicious.
We know that the grim period we are living in: The current military intervention, which escalates the black people’s genocide in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas; The neo-liberal advance that worsens the social inequalities in the whole country; and The removal of the social rights of workers in the country and in the city. All those measures are being accompanied with the criminalization of men and women who are social strugglers, and who rise up in defence of the people.
The threats that are being done to the activists who are exposing the heinous crimes that are being committed by the Brazilian State are constant. But they will not frighten us.
We demand the immediate investigation of her death. We demand justice to Marielle Franco!
Never forgive, never forget!
